How much does it cost to play Bocce?

Regular Courts are for rent for $20 for a 1 1/2 hour session.  VIP Courts run $30.  Courts can have up to 8 players on them at once, so it's up to you how you divide up the court cost if you like.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing really.  We provide bocce sets and score boards for each court.  Just come thirsty if you'd like to get a drink from the bar, and pay attention to rules on attire.  See below.

What is the proper attire for Bocce?

Bocce is best played in comfortable clothes.  We ask that no high heels are worn on the playing surface and also ask that shoes are clean before entering the premises.  Flat soled shoes are best.

How many players can use a court at one time?

We recommend groups in sizes of 4, 6, or 8 using the courts at one time.  This helps with pairing teams as well as the flow of the game.  However, you don't necessarily have to have an even number.  Games can be adjusted for odd group sizes without any problem.  If you have a group of more than 8 people, we recommend booking 2 courts or setting up a group event/party thru our staff.

How far in advance can I book a court?

Bocce courts can be booked 7 Days in advance for groups of 12 or less.  We have no problem with walk-in play but reservations are handled first and it never hurts to call ahead.  If you have a group of more than 12, we ask that you set up your outing through our event coordinator.

Do you have Leagues?

Absolutely.  Leagues will be forming in the Spring, so look out for coming details.  You can email info@boccebasement.com with your questions in the meantime.

What are the rules for Bocce?  Is it hard to learn and play?

Bocce is truly a game for people of all ages.  It is a very easy game to learn and awfully addicting once you do.  Bocce Basement will operate under the rules of OPEN play.  Essentially, you are trying to get your set of bocce balls (the larger balls) closer to the small ball (the pallino) than your oppenent.   Don't worry........our staff will be on site to help you get started.

What do you have as far as food and beverages?

Bocce Basement will have a bar with beer, wine and mixed options as well as a food menu.  There's old Italian saying that says......"Dipsy Gigerati," translated "God gave you two hands for a reason. One for the bocce ball, and one for the glass of wine.”  We love the saying, but can't allow food or drinks on the courts in order to keep them in great playing condition.
